My first encounter with Elkin Natural Health Centre was in the beginning of 2000. I had developed IBS (irritable bowel syndrome). The medical doctors told me that I have to live with it nothing could be done.
With Chiropractic care, the pain went away and Ive never had that problem again.
Also, my daughter went to the Chiropractor because I was tired of all the antibiotics the doctors were giving her to get rid of an ear infection. She would get a cold and it would always escalate.
Following Chiropractic care, she doesnt need to be on antibiotics, or puffers. She wants to see the Chiropractor instead of going to the medical doctor and being medicated.

When Harrison was about 6 months old he began to have seizures.
At first I thought it might have been over-tiredness or hunger. I was really concerned when I knew he was well rested and his little tummy was full. I called TeleHealth and took him to the doctor and neither one had an explanation.
Harrisons grandfather suggested that perhaps it might be a neurological problem and that he should go see his chiropractor.
We made an appointment with Dr. Colin right away and we were treated like family as soon as we walked in the door. Harrison enjoyed his visits and within about a month the episodes began to disappear and had stopped completely 6 months later.

I was a pessimist at best. As an ex-internationally ranked athlete, and farm boy the thought of having a few little adjustments to my spine and bones to cure sickness, sore joints, stuffy noses, and other bodily ailments was quite foreign, and even a bit comical.
Over my life Ive suffered breaks, sprains, concussions, kicks from cows, and many other small types of injuries that I never honestly paid much attention to. Nothing a cast, some pills, and a good nights sleep couldnt cure anyways.
It wasnt until earlier this year when I couldnt tolerate the stiffness in my lower back from an office job that brought me to the Chiropractor.
Only wanting to be instantly adjusted, and good to go for the next 24 years.
I learned that all the of the bumps, breaks, and bruises had brought me to a more severe phase 2 neck. X-rays showed the pinched nerves in my neck probably resulting from a concussion 2 years ago that I never did get checked out. I missed a day of practice, slept, took a lot of Advil and was back in the water the next day.
Ive always had a stuffy nose. Ive been to specialists, been through allergy tests, taken many different types of nasal sprays, and pills but nothing ever worked longer than 5 minutes.
After only about a month or 2 of being adjusted 3 times a week did I notice my nose wasnt stuffy any longer! I was pretty amazed. X-rays a few months later showed minimal improvements to the curvature of my neck, but at least my nose wasnt stuffy. I just saved a few hundred bucks on prescriptions!
Now into the 2nd last week of November and like clock-work this is the week of the year I always catch the flu, putting me out of commission for a few weeks. Before Chiropractic care, even with the flu shot, I ended up getting the flu. THIS YEAR NO FLU!!!, OR EVEN A FLU SHOT. Still getting adjusted now 2 times a week, I didnt get more than a day of feeling rough.
So in conclusion, it has to be more than placebo. I have more energy, I havent been sick in a year, colds last only a day or two, and the improvements in my x-rays make it all seem worth it.
Its been a positive lifestyle change for me, and Im sold on the concept of Chiropractic care; powering myself up and keeping all the nerves flowing. I guess that makes me an optimist now.
